Kamer Önder
Kamer Önder was born at Sürmene – Trabzon in 1954. During the high school years she started to experiment with drawings under the guidance of her arts and painting teacher.
In the following years she started to paint the local landscape with a naive approach and also transferred her feelings in the poem book she titled “DRAWING”.
In 1989 she published her book titled “Women of the Guttered Valley” in which she depicted the way of living of the local Black Sea people.
In 1989 she started to get painting lessons, worked with different masters and undertook research work at various museums.
Anatolia, where she visited every single corner, deeply affected the artist and she started to paint the man – nature unity that she experienced personally. Kamer Önder has participated at numerous exhibitions since she started to paint.
